For generations, walrus ivory has been a byproduct of a subsistence lifestyle for Alaska Native communities, used for food, clothing, and other vital resources. Unlike elephant ivory, it's legal, sustainable, and deeply misunderstood.

This misunderstanding is where the campaign started–helping educate travelers about the cultural, economic, and environmental significance of walrus and walrus ivory to Alaska Natives.
